Nowadays people often forget that Easter is not about brightly coloured, eye catching, (not to mention delicious), chocolate eggs. Easter is actually about a time that changed the world for ever. Easter is all about Jesus the Son of God. Jesus was crucified on what we call Good Friday. He died for you and for me, He loved us so much. After Jesus was taken from the cross, He was
placed in a tomb and guarded continuously.On the third day, known to us as Easter Sunday, certain friends and followers of Jesus went to visit the tomb where He was placed three days prior. They found that the tomb was empty, the body of Jesus was gone. Instead they were greeted by an angel who told them that Jesus had been risen from the dead and told them not to be afraid. Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we who believe in Him are blessed with the promise of eternal life and forgiveness of our sins.
